Ukraine Festa Tokyo 2024
1st Ukrainian Festival
The first Ukrainian Festival in Yoyogi Park, Tokyo, organized by us at Faina , was a great success, attracting 50,000 visitors over two days. The festival served as a place for Ukrainian cultural exchange, and also as a place for exchange between domestic and foreign Ukrainian-related companies. Thirty-two organizations from Japan and abroad, including NHK, the Ukrainian Embassy, and the US Embassy, participated in the event. On stage , the very popular Ukrainian singer ENLEO captivated the many audience members, uniting the venue. In addition, the speeches of Maria and Nazar from the Ilya Grabar Charity Foundation, special guests from Ukraine, touched the hearts of many. In addition, the festival was further enlivened by performances by REG STYLE, three-time world champions in double dutch, Ukrainian professional dancer Dukach, and Katerina Guzy, one of Japan's leading bandura players.
The keynote speeches by the U.S. Ambassador to Japan and the Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan emphasized the importance of international cultural exchange. Visitors enjoyed the opportunity to experience Ukrainian culture by trying authentic Ukrainian cuisine and purchasing unique local products. Many manufacturers came to Japan from Ukraine for the festival, further enhancing the authentic charm of Ukraine.
We will do our best to hold an even bigger and more wonderful Ukrainian Festival next year.

Support for Noto
Report on Faina's support activities in the Noto region
In February and March 2024, Ukrainian restaurant "Faina" went to the Noto region to support the people affected by the earthquake that occurred on January 1st. Faina provided a total of about 500 servings of the traditional Ukrainian dish borsch, and also distributed food donated by Hikone citizens on site. This support activity was a valuable opportunity to deliver hot meals and heartfelt support to the people in the disaster-stricken area.
Manga Project
A project to "create and deliver a comic of hope to children in Ukraine." The subject of the comic is a Ukrainian man who lost his older brother during the Russian invasion and was seriously injured himself. The story depicts the hope he found amid the suffering of the war and his current activities to carry on his brother's will. The comic was produced in collaboration with "Japanese High School Students." As a reward, we have prepared a honey candle from Ukraine.
